Dingle Train
These are a selection of pictures - mainly of railways - that I hope to expand over time. For reasons of space, the pictures here have been reduced in size. You can contact me through the contact page at www.chestermodelrailwayclub.com if you would like to see the higher definition versions.

1st Nov 2008Waterfalls, baseplates and halloween trains
Sort of does what is says on the title! 1st November we walked up to Pistyll Gain and Rhaedr just up from Dolgellau, went over to Porthmerion, walked the cross town link on public footpaths and went on the FR's halloween train in the evening - a very busy but enjoyable day - the weather was really good considering how it has been.
30th Oct 2008Royden Park, Wirral
On the 30th October, Royden Park Miniature Railway ran special trains (packed I should add) in aid of Wirral Barn Owl trust. Kat was helping out - something to do with school. It was a dark day but the rain held off and a good day was had by all. Royden Parks 'Tinkerbell' Class locos - all 0-4-4's - ran beautifully - the third of the trio lives abroad en France. Eric the owl also made an appearance.

These are pictures of the railway and the lead mining town of Wanlockhead in Scotland. The town is famous for being the highest village in Scotland and for containing the highest pub!
13th Aug 2007Birkenhead Docks
These were taken late afternoon in bright sunshine. They show various scenes including the Sarsia, a half sunk ex fisheries research vessel and the U534 in a diabolical uncared for state - something really ought to be done to preserve her.
